1968 Ford Mustang Fastback

"Gidget"

You'll have to check back as during the restoration process I will be updating this page with pictures. When we brought her home the first couple of hours it really began sinking in how much work this was going to be. Sandy had just finish restoring a 68 coupe which we sold and picked up this thing. He was thinking of just turning around and selling her and getting his money out of it but as luck would have it she didn't make it a day before he was washing her off. I had to snap a picture cause it was so funny how he was bitching the whole time. Then the car began to grow on both of us and EVERYWHERE we went with the car people where honking, giving us the thumbs up, and just flooding us with compliments on the car! He was just amazed cause his coupe(completely restored) never drew close to the same attention as this car does :)

So we finally get her home and a couple weeks later start off by giving her a tune up. The stock 289 runs great and we soon found out she has only 54k ORIGINAL miles on her. Although she is a "up north" car and has a lot of rust she had potiental. One thing he wasn't use to was having a woman in his life who not only wants to help buy parts for the car but doesn't mind getting her hands dirty under the hood with him.

So a few days later I asked him to leave the car with me so I could clean her up. She needed some TLC in the detailing department. Some idiot repainted her a while back and completely screwed up the paint. So I had to do my best and she didn't come out looking half bad :)
