This is my 2000 Yamaha R6 which I Love dearly. This bike has been nothing but good to me and I have learned a lot since I brought it home June 26, 2000. I spent the first week taking it slow and riding around the neighborhood getting the feel for its twitchy throttle and just the over all feel for the bike. Took it to the dragstrip not long afterwards and could only get a 11.64. OK so not great but it was still the first few months after getting the bike. This is what the bike looked like when I brought it home.

Well after a very long and COLD winter finally got to get some good riding in this year. The bike also went through some changes in looks. I installed flushmounts also had put some light covers from Tricktape.com and removed a bunch of the stickers. If I could I would take the white off the tank but since I would have to deal with the clear coating I chose to leave that part alone. Here are a few more picture also some of my bike when it was naked during the turn signal and fairing cleaning.

Look Ma a mini Fazer!

Well after some thinking I had custom made light covers (which I have yet to put on the bike still sorry Rez) different Valve covers and a different windscreen put on the bike which I did on one really cold afternoon during another typical Michigan day. And of course since I was going to be working on it might as well take it all apart to get it all clean and ready for the Woodward Dream cruise. Also added new Plasma bulbs to the bike. As much as I like them now my bike is a 1 eye wonder due to my bikes battery not able to keep a good enough charge in traffic (bike died at the cruise on me). Still looks good though. And for those of you wondering , yes I did all the wrenching to get the plastics off and change the oil and windscreen.

This year has been really good to me. Went 11.40's on the bike at almost 130mph coming through the traps w/out any mods at all. Still stock suspension and settings. Never lowered it or used a tie down. I just need to get my 60ft times down and I will be heading a lot closer to the 10sec mark! Next season should be interesting since I have my custom leathers on the way along with boots, gloves, and a new helmet! Time to hit the road course and some track days and see which I am going to like better. Love the twisties but I also love going to Lapeer since it is only a 1hr ride where Gratton is closer to 4hrs for us. For the drag racing pictures you can go HERE I didn't want to overload this page with too many pictures of the bike. So I am trying to create categories for all the pictures I have.
